Why do I need to enter my Skypename and password and is my data safe?

As you might know from other websites where you can import data from your instant messenger program (e.g. LinkedIn, Plaxo, Facebook, Twitter, Xing, etc.), you need to enter your account credentials. This is only used to authenticate you.

With PamFax we do the same, we link your Skypename to the add-on application you want to install. However we do not save any data, we just check that the credentials you have entered are valid, very similar to other websites asking for your IM credentials.

We do not read any data from your Skype account, we only check that that account exists and is a valid account. Your account credentials are not stored.

We have strong data security policies in place that prevent anyone seeing what you send. All communication is SSL encrypted (same security level as used for online banking) and the communications via Skype are completely 256-bit AES encrypted. PamFax is a very secure platform and your data is safe.

Note that all archived fax content will be automatically deleted after two months.
