We need a front end application that allows you to enter the data and optional settings. Then a server backedn is required to convert the files to fax format and send them out. We also need a server backend to save your fax history and offer you various settings.

All of these functions make fax a very different thing compared to a voice call. And for that reason there is the price difference.

Having said that, compared to other fax solutions, PamFax does not require any upfront payment, no subscription model, no montly minimal payments, etc. Pay as you go with your existing Skype credit!
